1st Place Whole House Renovation with Additions
A 1963 home was totally redesigned & renovated complimenting the charming lakefront property. JMC provided a great design saving the home’s character and renovating in as “green” as manner as possible while most importantly maximizing the view of the lakefront property.
This was provided by reusing much of the existing structure that would blend with the naturally beautiful landscape and lake views. Two poorly built additions were removed and replaced with a master suite, laundry room, spacious walk-in-closet and a two-car garage. The gorgeous kitchen is the centerpiece of the home offering panoramic views of the incredible outdoor living area and lake. Many state of the art and energy saving features were included.
Other highlights include moving the kitchen from the back of the home to the front, creating a tray ceiling for additional height by raising a section of the trusses and relocating the front entrance creating a much more appealing look all within the client’s budget!
Parade of Homes – May 2009

The new exterior design includes a large, inviting porch featuring elegant columns, stylish arches and a beautiful tongue and groove ceiling. The “Modern Ranch” design brings this circa-1960’s home up-to-date while blending perfectly in this charming Central Florida neighborhood.
An addition of just 5’ to the front of the kitchen created a large, luxury kitchen with plenty of room for entertaining. 1st Place Kitchen Renovation with Addition
GRAND AWARD winner Remodeler’s Showcase
One of the homeowner’s request was to raise the ceilings of their 1970’s home but the cost to re-truss the roof was just not in their budget. Thinking outside the box, we lowered the concrete floor to achieve the goal of the taller ceilings at a substantially reduced cost. Steps were provided for a seamless look.
The design flows very well into the existing structure and it is difficult to tell where the new met the old. All the new elements complement the existing such as utilizing the stacked stone featured in the outside living area on the inside as a beautiful arch showcasing the cooking area. The kitchen was designed to be efficient and functional with everything right at your fingertips.
This type of remodel enabled saving much of the structure only replacing the items necessary. The homeowner was able to incorporate everything to make their kitchen the heartbeat of their home.
